Mosquito Creek Law Office is a continuation of Gordon & McLeod Law Office, and has been proudly serving clients for the past 40 years.
Gordon & McLeod Law Office has been providing legal services in the Nanton area for over 40 years, and has been a fixture in the community providing practical legal advice and solutions for generations of families and local businesses. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Toni McLeod will appreciate her unwavering work ethic and dedication to clients, her pragmatic approach to files, and her effective and efficient approach to the practice of law..
New Year, New Location, New Name
We have some big news... our office is moving!! We are very excited to announce that as of January 1, 2022, our office will be relocating to the old Mosquito Creek Trading Post on 19th Street in Nanton, AB. This will provide us with the space that we need to better accommodate our existing clients (and to welcome new ones), and we look forward to continuing to provide quality legal services in Nanton and surrounding areas in our new office location.
As part of our move, we are also taking this opportunity to re-brand and capture the history of Nanton by re-naming our office "Mosquito Creek Law Office". History and deep roots are important to us, and although our name is changing to reflect our deep appreciation for the past, we look forward to continuing to provide quality legal services to our valued clients for many generations to come.
Our Team
Toni McLeod, J.D.
Toni grew up just north of Nanton, and is very pleased to have the opportunity to return to her rural roots and provide legal services in her local community. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan - College of Law with Distinction in 2009, and completed her Articles at the national law firm of McCarthy Tetrault. After spending her first few years learning the ropes of private practice in the firm's labour and employment group, she moved to an in-house position at Mercer Canada before accepting the role of Associate General Counsel at Western Financial Group Inc. in High River, Alberta. In September of 2016, she made the decision to return to private practice and joined Laurie Gordon at the law office in Nanton, forming the partnership of Gordon & McLeod. Effective September 1, 2018, Toni L. McLeod Professional Corporation purchased the law firm of Gordon & McLeod, officially marking the transition of Laurie Gordon into a well-deserved retirement.
Toni resides on her small family farm near Nanton with her husband, Rob, and their daughter, Madison, and enjoys participating in local community events and riding her horses in the mountains when time permits. She is deeply committed to providing quality legal services in combination with small town values and looks forward to the opportunity to continue to be of service for many decades to come.
Jill VanG
Jill Vang is the very first welcoming face and voice of Mosquito Creek Law Office. However, in addition to her duties as receptionist and office administrator, she is also CORES I and II certified and is our corporate legal assistant. She looks forward to directing you to the resources that you require.

As a paralegal with over 16 years of experience, Barbara looks forward to assisting with your purchase, sale or refinance file to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
lauren chollak, j.d.
Lauren graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary in 2019, and successfully completed her articles with Gordon & McLeod before accepting a position as associate lawyer with our office following her admission to the Law Society of Alberta. Lauren thoroughly enjoys the practice of law in a small town setting, and looks forward to being of service in our community.
